It seems that the normal influx of poetry challenges I receive (which I LOVE) is not enough. I need to seek out more—even invent them where none exist. Recently a somewhat innocent comment by one of my favs Anomie turned into a self-challenge:

Today another was innocently dropped in a comment by another fav of mine, Rosalie Fox, so I jumped at the chance at another self-conjured challenge.

So, here it is… a filthy poem with the word Gesù…

Apologies for the poor audio… my voice is a bit shot today.

I am powerless over her
She grips me by the throat with just a stare
Her eyes are my choker, black studded leather cinched tight
Red raw abrasions bloom on my neck
Overripe cherries she will crush between her teeth

There is no hope of her being satisfied

As her thin pale fingers part the dewy petals of her swollen red rose

I whisper a prayer for the salvation of my mortal soul
Gesù, salvator mundi, aiutami in quest’ora di tentazione
My plea goes unanswered as she lowers her smooth dripping heat
