T. Vale Week in Review
Everything I've published this week plus a few recommendations
I’m trying this out as an experiment. I usually post my week in review as a note, but thought I’d try something new.
This was a big week for me. I experimented with a few new things and with he help of my fellow creators and all my beautiful subscribers, I hit the 1K milestone. It’s been joyfully exhausting!
This week’s drops:
Sunday
🎧 Daily Verses Vol. 7
I started writing morning verses to both sharpen my poetry skills and be sure that I was writing something every day. I will be publishing a few of these poems per post until caught up, then I will publish the week’s verses each Sunday.
I love my Daily Verses posts! They give me the chance to look back and reevaluate my progress. I am constantly looking to improve my skills and technique and these help a great deal. They allow me to experiment and see what you all like and respond to. Volume 7 was packed with sex and heat! It also marked the start of a shift in how and what I wrote about. I DEFINITELY recommend listening to the audio with 🎧!
Tuesday
The story that almost didn’t happen!
Much like my Daily Verses, I have been trying to sharpen my prose skills by taking part in Kate Valentine’s Flash Fiction prompts from her Unleash Creativity stack. One of the prompt options was shame and this idea immediately leapt to mind. I was apprehensive to say the least! It is quite a departure from my usual prose, but fortunately I decided to bring in an expert to beta test it for me. Scarlett Simmons was kind enough to fill that role and encouraged me to publish it. I am still astounded at the way it was received and the numbers don’t lie.I will be adding audio and have changed it into the present tense to add to the heat, as suggested by erinnbjorn.
Wednesday
Seems the theme of this week has been challenges! This poem came about after I read The Orgasm by Rosalie Fox (which we will revisit later.) I love taking a thoughtful comment and turning into art and that’s what happened here. I love the raw eroticism that Rosalie wields like a weapon and enjoyed paying homage to it in this piece.
Thursday
🎧 a constant state of yearning
Poetry time again, loves! If I’m being honest, I’m not sure how I feel about this one yet. I’m usually not a strict rhyme scheme person, but I’ve been trying to push myself to try new structures (for example XO, which I am ass-over-teakettle in love with.) The first line (and title) of this piece was inspired by a note from
This poem was inspired by a note by one of the poets I most admire here, Micah Ansel (again, more about him later.) I still am undecided about how I feel about this piece because I do not lean toward forcing myself into rhyme and meter, but… again… I wanted to challenge myself. I’ll let you be the judge.
Friday
This short poem took me completely by surprise and flooded into me like the tide. It started by the dark inspiration I took from The Siren Part 1 by persephone ✦☾ and honestly I was still firmly in the grips of having written Her Swollen Red Rose. A short dark poem that aroused me the more I wrote it!
Midnight Motorcycle Mamma (Flash Fiction)
This is a Friday Freestyle story from a prompt by Kate Valentine and her Unleash Creativity community. If you don’t subscribe, I highly recommend it.
Another example of Kate Valentine’s Flash Fiction prompts from her Unleash Creativity stack. This theme was forbidden fruit. I hope to keep doing flash fiction like this as it is great practice and seems to be what a lot of you want.
7 DAYS AND 6 DROPS! My loves, I am exhausted, but in the best possible way!
Enough about me, though. Here are some pieces I read this week that I’d like to shout out and recommend for you.
TWO pieces from one of my ABSOLUTE favorites, Scarlett Simmons. If you’re looking for prose and poetry that will devastate, look no further! She has skills and a range that makes me jealous and aroused!
Next, the dark goddess herself, persephone ✦☾! She has a way of scratching my niche itch for the erotic and mythological alchemy! And as soon as I’m finished with this marathon post, I’m headed to read her collab with Kate Valentine. THAT series is a must read as well!
Next, the mediterranean sex witch, Rosalie Fox. Go to her stack and pick literally anything and then come back and thank me.
Next is the weaver of tales himself, Chris Jackson. I can’t get enough of the long and lovely prose this man produces!
Lastly, a man who constantly inspires me and brings me to literal tears, Micah Ansel. He’ll make your panties drop and heal your heart!
That’s all for this week. I hope you enjoyed this new format. I’ll leave you with a sneak peak for next week. And if you read this far, the latest episode of Leela is out, so get over to Elara Rosalia and dive into that epic experience! Much love, my slutty subs.
